FLUOROPOLYMERIC MULTILAYER OPTICAL FILM AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer optical film which reflects specific wavelengths and transmits or absorbs other wavelengths, and methods of making and using the same.SOLUTION: A multilayer optical film comprises an optical stack. The optical stack comprise: a) first optical layers comprising a first fluoropolymeric material, and b) second optical layers comprising a second fluoropolymeric material, where at least a portion of the first optical layers and at least a portion of the second optical layers are in intimate contact. The optical stack reflects at least a portion of wavelengths greater than about 700 nm, and at least 30% of target wavelengths are reflected at a 90 degree angle of incidence.
