1. A skin attachment device, comprising:
an annular ring having a central aperture extending therethrough and defining an inside surface, wherein the aperture is elliptical in shape, wherein the annular ring further comprises a groove extending annularly around an outside surface of the ring thereby defining upper and lower lips, wherein the upper lip comprises one or more vertical apertures extending therethough adapted to accept a suture, and wherein the grove is texturized to promote tissue ingrowth upon implantation of the skin attachment device.
