1. A method for producing an acidic substance having a carboxyl group comprising
culturing in a medium a microorganism having an ability to produce an acidic substance having a carboxyl group to produce and accumulate the acidic substance having a carboxyl group in the medium, and collecting the acidic substance having a carboxyl group from the medium, wherein the acidic substance is L-glutamic acid and/or L-aspartic acid, wherein the microorganism has been modified to enhance expression of an ybjL gene, and wherein the ybjL gene encodes a protein selected from the group consisting of: (A) a protein comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2; and (B) a protein comprising a variant of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, wherein one to 5 amino acid residues are substituted, deleted, inserted or added, and wherein, upon expression, said variant improves the ability of the microorganism to produce an acidic substance having a carboxyl group. |
