PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel Exendin variant and a conjugate conjugating a polymer thereon, a pharmaceutical composition comprising them, their use in treatment to reduce blood glucose, particularly in treating diabetes, especially Type II diabetes, and the use of the Exendin conjugate to lower body weight.SOLUTION: An Exendin variant with GLP-1 receptor agonist activity has an amino acid sequence in which one or more amino acid residues are substituted by cysteine, in comparison with a wild-type Exendin amino acid sequence, where the wild-type Exendin sequence comprises a specific sequence. |
