In order to reduce the size of data to be communicated and achieve an efficient group management, a communication control apparatus comprises a generation unit and a transmission unit. The generation unit generates, from designation information for designating those ones of a plurality of communication apparatuses which belong to a group, determination information by use of that one of a plurality of generation methods for generating determination information to determine the communication apparatuses designated by use of the designation information for which the size of the determination information to be generated is smaller than the size of the determination information to be generated by use of any other generation method. The transmission unit transmits the determination information to the plurality of communication apparatuses.
