<p>The invention relates to a method for regenerating hyaline cartilage comprising: applying to a cartilage injury lesion a composition containing a low endotoxin monovalent metal salt of 5 alginic acid and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, wherein the composition has a viscosity of 400 mPa-s to 20000 mPa-s and has fluidity, and wherein the monovalent metal salt of alginic acid is a monovalent metal salt of alginic acid having a weight average molecular weight of 500,000 or more as determined by gel filtration chromatography. The invention also relates to a composition, containing a low endotoxin monovalent metal salt of 10 alginic acid and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, which is used for regenerating hyaline cartilage, and which is applied to a cartilage injury lesion.</p> |
