PURPOSE:To verify and confirm a card user by collating information from an image input device with image information characteristic to the card holder registered on a card. CONSTITUTION:When an identification card 1 is issued, a name and the number 10 of the card are recorded and image information characteristic to the holder, i.e. fingerprint, face, signature, etc., are inputted from the image input device, processed, and recorded on the identification card 1. When a card user is veri fied and confirmed, the image information recorded on the identification card is read out by an image reader. Then, the image input device installed where the right is exercised inputs image information on the card user, e.g. fingerprint to a memory temporarily, and compares the image with the image information read out of the card while rotating and moving it to decide whether or not both pieces of information coincide with each other. |
