<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup capable of suppressing change in the amplitude of high-order resonance if the movable section of an objective lens drive unit operates in a focusing direction.SOLUTION: An optical pickup comprises: an objective lens 1 provided in a lens holder 2 and condensing light on an optical disk; focusing coils 3 and 4 provided on the lens holder 2 and setting a focusing direction (z-direction) that is an optical axis direction of the objective lens 1 as a direction of a central axis around which each of the coils 3 and 4 is wound; and magnets 11 arranged to be opposed to parts of the respective focusing coils 3 and 4 in parallel to a tracking direction (y-direction) that is a radial direction of the optical disk. If it is assumed that a direction in which the objective lens 1 approaches the optical disk is an upward direction of the focusing direction, each magnet 11 is arranged so that distance U in the tracking direction between an upper portion of the magnet 11 and an optical axis 101 of the objective lens 1 is smaller than distance L in the tracking direction between a lower portion of the magnet 11 and the optical axis 101 of the objective lens 1.</p> |
