<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head capable of suppressing fogging in printing due to a curvature of a heating section row while preventing increase of manufacturing cost, and to provide a thermal printer having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal head X includes a substrate 7 and the heating section row 9A consisting of a plurality of heating sections 9 arranged on the substrate 7. The heating section row 9A is curved so as to be convex in a direction perpendicular to a main-scanning direction in plan view.
