The fastener (1), especially for mounting insulation boards etc., has a plate (10) with drillings (11-14) with countersinking and of different sizes and shapes to take a wide variety of nails or dowels and the like. One drilling (11) is at the center of the plate, with the remainder in a geometrical array around it. The plate is triangular with plate segments (10a-10c) forming a circle. The plate and segments are of thermoplastic injection moldings or of metal.
