<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line illuminating device and a light source device, which can form a high illuminance illumination region with high uniformity in illuminance in a sub-scanning direction.SOLUTION: A line illuminating device includes: a rod-like light guide body formed of a translucent material; and an LED element arranged oppositely to an end face in a longitudinal direction of the light guide body. The light guide body includes: reflection sections which are formed in the longitudinal direction at an external face of the light guide body, which reflect light from the LED element so that it is emitted from a light emission face extending in the longitudinal direction of the light guide body, and which consist of recess strings formed by arranging a plurality of recesses depressed inward; and a diffusion reflection surface which reflects light emitted from the rear face of the light guide body to make it incident on the rear face of the light guide body by allowing it to face the rear face of the light guide body opposite to the light emission face at the external face of the light guide body. Peripheral edge projections projected outward are formed in individual peripheral edges of the recesses.</p> |
