<p>Disclosed is a method for controlling deactivation of a cylinder for reducing an impact and the amount of exhaust gas occurring during a conversion process when a cylinder is continuously deactivated. The present invention relates to a method for controlling deactivation of a cylinder in a multi-cylinder which is operated by controlling a valve device of each cylinder by an electronic control device. The method for controlling deactivation of a cylinder comprises the steps of: (a) discharging combusted exhaust gas by opening an exhaust valve in a first process if a conversion signal from a normal operation mode to a deactivation mode is generated; (b) maintaining the close state of an air intake valve in the first process and cancelling fuel jetting and ignition; and (c) maintaining the close state of the exhaust valve in a second process and maintaining the close states of the exhaust valve and the air intake value during the deactivation mode.</p> |
