A falling coal prevention apparatus for a continuous ship unloader is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the falling coal prevention apparatus for a continuous ship unloader comprises: a falling coal guide part installed on a sprocket wheel wherein a bucket elevator chain is wound to transfer a bulk cargo using a plurality of buckets provided in a continuous ship unloader; and a backflow prevention plate provided on the outer circumference of the falling coal guide part to prevent coal fallen onto the falling coal guide part from flowing backward.
