Provided is a method for efficiently and inexpensively removing oil from oil-contaminated water. Provided is a method for removing oil from oil-contaminated water as represented by produced water, wherein the method includes a step for adding an adsorption-flocculation agent such as talc for adsorbing and flocculating oil to oil-contaminated water so that the concentration of oil in the oil-contaminated water reaches a predetermined concentration ratio with respect to the concentration of the adsorption-flocculation agent in the oil-contaminated water, and a step for filtering the oil-contaminated water to which the adsorption-flocculation agent has been added. Adjustment of the concentration ratio is preferably carried out by circulating the oil-contaminated water using a cross-flow-type filtration treatment, and the concentration ratio (A/B) is preferably 0.5-10 when the respective concentrations of the oil and the adsorption-flocculation agent in the oil-contaminated water are A (mg/L) and B (mg/L) when filtering the oil-contaminated water to which the adsorption-flocculation agent has been added.
