A cable spreader system for detecting surface defects of the present invention, as a cable spreader system for receiving a cable from a drum and transferring it underground, includes: a lower frame which has an engine, a hydraulic device driven by the engine, elevating cylinders, outer triggers and a curvature controlling part and can vertically be moved by a transfer unit; an upper frame which is connected to the elevating cylinder, is located in the upper side of the lower frame, and has first to fourth guide rollers to guide the movement of a cable and a support cylinder; and a defect detecting part which is installed on the upper frame and detects the surface defect of the cable.
