<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber capable of obtaining excellent damping force characteristics.SOLUTION: A shock absorber includes an extension side main passage 69, a contraction side main passage 68, and an auxiliary passage 83 commonly applied to the extension side and the contraction side, each of which circulates operating fluid by sliding a piston 16. The shock absorber is configured in the following manner: an extension side main damping valve 77 is disposed in the extension side main passage 69, and a contraction side main damping valve 72 disposed in the contraction side main passage 68; inflow side check valves 35 and 50 are disposed on an upstream side in an extension stroke of the auxiliary passage 83 and on an upstream side in a contraction stroke thereof, respectively; and outflow side auxiliary damping valves 93 and 113 are disposed on a downstream side in an extension stroke of the auxiliary passage 83 and on a downstream side in a contraction stroke thereof, respectively.</p> |
