FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used in different medical facilities, as well as in medical schools to train and develop palpation skills applicable in diagnosing and treating, e.g. osteopathy. Improving the quality of training by enhancing a device and making it possible to measure a force developed in the course of a palpation procedure, as well as a rate of its change is achieved by the fact that in the palpation skill training and development device comprising a human organ model with suspected palpation regions, a computer-based system integrating a computer connected to a training management and control data display unit, the suspected palpation regions bear palpation force sensors connected to the computer-based system configured to display signals generated by the above sensors relevant to the palpation force in the training management and control data display unit. The palpation force sensors are preferred to be configured as small-size thin-film piezoresistive force sensors; the computer-based system is expected to be configured to generate the displayed signals from the palpation force sensors in the form of force to time relations averaged at the pre-set interval, whereas the number of the palpation force sensors are specified so that each sensor corresponds to each local suspected palpation area in the suspected palpation region.EFFECT: higher quality of training procedures.3 cl, 2 dwg |
