1. A method for controlling a display device, the method comprising:
extracting at least one of first time source data extracted from a setting application, second time source data extracted from a broadcast service module and third time source data extracted from a network time protocol (NTP) server; and setting a time of an application in accordance with a predetermined priority order, based on the extracted time source data and a type of the application, wherein the first time source data includes at least one of time information and a manual offset input by a user through the setting application, wherein the second time source data includes broadcast time information included in a received broadcast signal, wherein the third time source data includes network time information stored in the NTP server, and wherein the type of the application includes a first type application that includes a web application and a second type application that includes a broadcast application.
