Knife with a deflector element

The knife (10) has a blade area (13) that is connected with a deflector (17) located on a knife side facing a cutoff slice. The deflector is provided to define a shaped portion formed towards the outside, and provided to follow a cutting edge (14) of the knife. The deflector is formed in triangular cross-sectional shape. The shaped portion is flattened at the apex of the deflector. The deflectors are equipped with flanks with different angles of inclination. The angle of inclination of radially inner flanks is smaller than the angle of inclination of radially outer flanks.
