The present invention relates to a method for the pasteurization of fine-cut tobacco 1, wherein the tobacco 1 is arranged in a closed package 2. Then, the tobacco 1 in the package 2 is heated such that the tobacco 1 is pasteurized. The invention further relates to a device for the pasteurization of tobacco 1, comprising a packing station 3, a heating station 5 and optionally a cooling station 6. The invention also relates to a packaged tobacco product. |
