A light fitting comprises a luminaire 1 and a carrier 2 which receives the luminaire. The carrier has an opening 3 for receiving the luminaire by movement along an insertion axis. The luminaire 1 has first magnetic elements 4 and the carrier 2 has second magnetic elements 5, wherein magnetic attraction between opposed surfaces of the first and second magnetic elements retains the luminaire in the carrier. The opposed surfaces of the first and second magnetic elements are non-perpendicular to the insertion axis. |
