<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for suppressing the generation of hydrogen sulfide gas contained in sedimentary waste of a stable type final disposal plant. <P>SOLUTION: A stable aqueous dispersion containing ferric hydroxide colloid is directly adapted to reclaimed waste containing hydrogen sulfide and useful as a generation inhibitor for the hydrogen sulfide gas in the sedimentary waste. A generation inhibitor for the hydrogen sulfide gas is an aqueous dispersion of the ferric hydroxide colloid with a pH of 1.00-2.90 and an iron concentration of about 1.0-6.0 w/v% and satisfies the formula: -0.339ln(x)+1.55=<y=<-0.678ln(x)+2.68 in the relation between iron concentration x(w/v%) and a pH value y. Further, this invention also relates to a method for inhibiting the generation of the hydrogen sulfide gas characterized by directly adding the stable aqueous dispersion of the ferric hydroxide colloid to the sedimentary waste. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
