<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for introducing mycoparasitic virus which is easily applicable (very versatile) to a broad kinds or strains of filamentous fungus belonging to Dikarya subkingdom without restricting to a specific kind or strain of fungus. <P>SOLUTION: When introducing a target mycoparasitic virus, which is held by a virus donor strain, into a virus recipient strain, which has a relationship of cytoplasmic incompatibility with the virus donor strain, the method for introducing the mycoparasitic virus induces the formation of 'artificial hyphal fusion' and 'the inhibition or retardation of cell death following cytoplasmic incompatibility reaction' by co-culturing both of the virus donor strain and the virus recipient strain (preferably in dual culture) in the presence of zinc ion and transfers the virus between the fungus strains through the hyphal fusion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
