PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable flexure of a foil like electrode plate to be suppressed as much as possible in an electrode for a battery while a conductive layer is arranged between the foil like electrode plate and the active material layer.SOLUTION: When the electrode for the battery is manufactured by laminating the conductive layer 21 and the active material layer 23 in order in a region other than a formation region of an uncoated part 3a which causes a surface of a foil like electrode plate 22 having conductivity to be exposed, the conductive layer 21 and the active material layer 23 are laminated in the state that an end edge of the active material layer 23 of an upper layer side is positioned closer to the uncoated part 3a side than an end edge of the conductive layer 21 of a lower layer side, in at least a part of end edge parts in the formation region of the active material layer 23 at an existing side of the uncoated part 3a, and then the uncoated part 3a is subjected to pressing force to be extended as well as the formation region of the active material layer 23 being subjected to pressing force. |
