<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for processing a glass plate, capable of improving the manufacture of a processed glass plate.SOLUTION: An apparatus for processing a glass plate comprises: the glass plate support part 20a of a take-in conveyor 7; the glass plate support part 20b of a cutting unit 2; the glass plate support part 20c of a splitting unit 4; the glass plate support part 20d of a grinding unit 3; the glass plate support part 20e of a take-out conveyor 8; a cutting head 9 for processing a glass plate 5 supported in each of the support parts 20b, 20c and 20d; a splitting machine 66; a grinding head 10; and a transport device 89 for conveying the glass plate 5 on the support part 20a to the support part 20b, the glass plate 5 on the support part 20b to the support part 20c, the glass plate 5 on the support part 20c to the support part 20d and the glass plate 5 on the support part 20d to the support part 20e, respectively. The transport device 89 repeats reciprocation to successively transfer the glass plate 5 to the support parts 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d and 20e after completing each processing operation of processing means.</p> |
