Method for image-based automatic exposure adjustment

The method involves receiving images of people at door station by a camera (5) connected to home station (1) through bus (15). The images are displayed by display (2) of home station. The analog or digital image signal of camera is evaluated by area detector. The exposure quality of image region is determined by brightness measurement value generator, based on detected result. The exposure parameters of the camera are optimized iteratively by control unit using predetermined reference value and actual value control variables during image recording process.
