PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the degradation in transporting ability of a developer transport member in the latter half of a life thereof, while maintaining a required length of a sealing member.SOLUTION: A developer container includes: a storage chamber storing therein a developer and having an aperture for discharging the developer; and developer transport means which discharges, by rotation, the developer stored in the storage chamber from the aperture. The developer transport means includes: a rotating member; a developer transport member which is fixed to the rotating member and discharges the developer stored in the storage chamber from the aperture by rotation of the rotating member; a sealing member which has one end part fixed to the rotating member and has the another end part provided so as to seal up the aperture and opens the aperture by rotation of the rotating member; a restriction part which restricts the sealing member wound around the rotating member after opening of the aperture by rotation of the rotating member so that a transport surface of the developer transport member is exposed.
