<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device arranged to allow a part of illumination light emitted from a light source array to enter an integrator element, which is capable of controlling the light amount emitted from each of plural light sources while considering a part of the illumination light.SOLUTION: A projection type display device 1000 includes: a light source array 40 constituted of m light sources 50; and an integrator element 10 for making uniform the luminance distribution of illumination light emitted from the light source array 40. A part of the illumination light enters the integrator element 10. The light source drive unit 31 controls the light amount emitted from each of the m light sources 50 based on a part of the amount of the illumination light entering the integrator element 10.</p> |
