PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system having advantages in structural simplicity and measurement accuracy.SOLUTION: An optical system 10 has: light sources 100, 200; an optical receiver 400; a first light receiving system that makes the optical receiver 400 receive first reflected light at a first angleθ1 of reflection on an object surface 500; and a second light receiving system that makes the optical receiver 400 receive second reflected light at a second angleθ2 of reflection, which is different from the first angleθ1 of reflection, on an object surface 500. In this system, a first light receiving area 120 of the optical receiver 400 relating to light, of reflected light, via the first light receiving system on the object surface 500 is separated from a second light receiving area 220 of the optical receiver 400 relating to light, of the reflected light, via the second light receiving system.
