<p>The present invention relates to an average voltage compensation apparatus for a wire cut electric discharge machine, which comprises: a no-load voltage generation unit (330) generating a no-load voltage; a voltage applying unit (340) applying the no-load voltage generated from the no-load voltage generation unit (330) before discharge to a workpiece and a wire electrode; a discharge detection unit (310) detecting an interelectrode voltage between the workpiece and the wire electrode; and a discharge control unit (350) which applies a voltage of a first power supply (332) to the no-load voltage generation unit (330) with respect to a positive pulse of the no-load voltage, and applies a voltage of a second power supply (334) to the no-load voltage generation unit (330) with respect to a cathodic pulse of the no-load voltage, in accordance with the interelectrode voltage detected by the discharge detection unit (310).</p> |
