<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of image defects and paper jam by stably rotating a fixing belt.SOLUTION: A fixing device of the present invention includes a fixing belt 22, a pressure member 23 that is in pressure contact with the fixing belt 22 to form a fixing nip 90, a heating member 24 that holds the fixing belt 22 with the pressure member 23, and a pressing member that holds the fixing belt 22 with the pressure member 23. The pressure member 23 includes a first inner area 55 in contact with the fixing belt 22 and a first outer area 56 formed on the outside of the first inner area 55; the heating member 24 includes a base material layer 61 and a coating layer 62 having a higher coefficient of friction than that of the base material layer 61; the coating layer 62 includes a second inner area 63 in contact with the fixing belt 22 and a second outer area 64 formed on the outside of the second inner area 63 to be in contact with the first outer area 56.</p> |
