PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device that can improve the degree of freedom of a direction of lighting with respect to a display direction relative to a liquid crystal panel.SOLUTION: External light made incident on a first incident part 6 is reflected on a reflection plate 13 of a first light guide body 2 and emitted from a first emission part 8. The light emitted from the first emission part 8 is made incident on a second incident part 9 of a second light guide body 3 and reflected on a reflection plate 12. The reflected light is emitted from a second emission part 11 and irradiates the back face of a liquid crystal panel 4 to be used for display. |
