PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device capable of efficiently performing terminal-to-terminal communication without going through a base station.SOLUTION: There is provided a mobile terminal device capable of using a terminal-to-terminal communication mode. The mobile terminal device includes: receiving means for receiving instruction information giving instruction to perform terminal-to-terminal communication and communication area information on another base station; terminal retrieval means for retrieving one or more other mobile terminal devices with which the mobile terminal device can perform terminal-to-terminal communication; position receiving means for receiving positional information on the one or more other mobile terminal devices from the one or more other mobile terminal devices; area determining means for determining whether or not the one or more other mobile terminal devices are situated in a communication area of the other base station on the basis of the positional information and the communication area information; and terminal communication means for communicating with the one or more other mobile terminal devices. If the one or more other mobile terminal devices are situated in the communication area of the other base station, the terminal communication means performs terminal-to-terminal communication with the other mobile terminal devices. |
