In the present invention, disclosed is a mobile terminal capable of controlling a main display region through an auxiliary display region provided through a flexible display. More particularly, the mobile terminal of the present invention comprises: a sensing unit for sensing the movement of a mobile terminal; a display unit having a main display region exposed to a front surface and an auxiliary display region exposed to a lateral surface; and a control unit for controlling the display unit to convert into an image sharing mode when the sensed movement satisfies a particular condition, to output image data on the main display region when entering the image sharing mode, and to output a thumbnail list on a plurality of images on the auxiliary display region.
