PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a receiving device control function relating to a linked application, from a broadcasting side.SOLUTION: In a linked application control system that is one side of this invention, a broadcasting device comprises a supply unit which supplies a receiving device with application control information relating to a linked application which can be executed by the receiving device with reception of a content. The receiving device includes: an application execution unit which executes the linked application that is able to change a layout of a screen with reference to a video of the received content; and an application control unit which controls the application execution unit on the basis of the application control information to restrict activation of the linked application.
