PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately introduce a fluid boosted by an impeller into a vortex chamber. ! SOLUTION: A centrifugal compressor comprises: an impeller; a casing that forms a vortex chamber; and a diffuser 8. The diffuser 8 includes a diffuser disc 21 having a shroud side surface 24 formed to be opposed to a hub side surface formed on the casing; and a diffuser blade 22 arranged between the diffuser disc 21 and the hub side surface. A curved surface formation section 26 smoothly curved toward an outer circumferential edge of the shroud side surface 24 is formed on the diffuser disc 21. The centrifugal compressor of this type is formed so that channel width of a channel 25 interposed between the hub side surface and the shroud side surface 24 increases toward the vertex chamber. It is, therefore, possible to extend the diffuser blade 22 toward the outer circumferential edge of the diffuser disc 21 and to appropriately introduce a fluid boosted by the impeller into the vertex chamber. !
