PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phenol resin foam that is excellent in fire retardancy and furthermore can maintain the excellent insulation performance for a long period of time while suppressing the environmental load, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a phenol resin foam comprising a phenol resin and a foaming agent comprising at least one of chlorinated hydro-fluoro-olefin or non-chlorinated hydro-fluoro-olefin. For the phenol resin foam, the density is 10 kg/mor more and 150 kg/mor less, the thermal conductivity under an environment at 10°C is 0.0175 W/m k or less, and the thermal conductivity under an environment at 23°C is 0.0185 W/m k or less. |
