PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermosensitive recording medium having good coloring sensitivity which is excellent in dispersibility and dispersion stability of a reversible developer.SOLUTION: There is provided a reversible thermosensitive recording medium which comprises, on a substrate, a reversible thermosensitive recording layer containing an ordinarily colorless or pale-colored dye precursor and a reversible developer for forming a relatively color-developed state and an erased state by difference in heating temperature and/or cooling speed after heating, wherein the reversible thermosensitive recording layer contains at least polyvinyl butyral as a dispersant species, the polyvinyl butyral has a weight average molecular weight of 50000 or more, the total unit ratio of hydroxyl groups and acetic acid groups to butyral groups of the polyvinyl butyral is 30 to 70 mass% and the ratio of the polyvinyl butyral to the reversible developer is 0.5 to 20 mass%. |
