The present invention relates to a system and a method for providing a mobile gift certificate service. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system for providing a mobile gift certificate service comprises: a communications unit which transmits to and receives from a client the data about a mobile gift certificate; a storage unit which stores the data about the mobile gift certificate; and a purchase approval unit which performs a process about purchase of the mobile gift certificate. The purchase approval unit receives the purchase data of the mobile gift certificate from the client, determines the number and money of individual mobile gift certificates based on payment for purchasing the mobile gift certificate, generates identification data of individual mobile gift certificates as much as the number of determined individual mobile gift certificates, grants the determined amount of money of the individual mobile gift certificate to each individual mobile gift certificate, matches the individual mobile gift certificate with a representative mobile gift certificate granted to the client, and transmits the identification data of the individual mobile gift certificate and the amount of money thereof to the client. |
