PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide power monitoring method and device that predict the time transition of an available power amount in a building, determine in advance whether power saving is required or not in a time zone in which the operation of electronic equipment is reserved, and report necessity of power saving to a terminal device when the power saving is required.SOLUTION: A power monitoring method accepts an input of reservation information specifying an operation time zone for a reserved operation of one or more electronic equipment as a reservation target, calculates an available power amount as a predicted power amount per unit time which is available in a building, calculates a power consumption estimation amount as the estimation amount of a power consumption amount unit time in the building by using reservation information and power consumption amount information in which a power consumption amount of each electronic equipment as an operation-reserved target is registered in advance, generates a reservation content changing plan in which the power consumption estimation amount is not more than an available power amount, and suggests the reservation content changing plan to a terminal device.
