PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a storage battery system which can be operated while independently linking the storage battery system with a power distribution system, and which can be operated in a most suitable operation mode for each customer; and a method for controlling such a storage battery system.SOLUTION: A storage battery system comprises: a battery which is charged with a power supplied from a power distribution system, and a power generated by a photovoltaic power generator, and supplies a power to a load; and a control part which allows a power generated by the photovoltaic power generator to be supplied to the load, and which allows the storage battery system to work in a mode for selling a surplus power of the power generated by the photovoltaic power generator, or a mode for charging the battery with a surplus power of a power generated by the photovoltaic power generator. |
