PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for efficiently increasing the pressure of a refrigerant. ! SOLUTION: A heat exchange device (300) comprises a heat exchanger (14), a pump (13), an ejector (11), an extractor (12), and a liquid level sensor (17). The ejector (11) generates a refrigerant mixture by using refrigerant vapor and refrigerant liquid flowing out of the heat exchanger (14). The extractor (12) receives the refrigerant mixture from the ejector (11) and extracts the refrigerant liquid from the refrigerant mixture. The refrigerant liquid is pumped to the ejector (11) from the extractor (12) via the heat exchanger (14) by the pump (13). A liquid level LV of the refrigerant liquid in the extractor (12) is controlled so that, for example, the full capacity of the extractor (12) is filled with the refrigerant liquid. !
