PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal, its control method, and a program that realize its use limitation more effectively.SOLUTION: A portable information terminal comprises: authentication information storage means for storing authentication information; authentication information input means for inputting authentication input information; concordance rate check means for checking whether or not the concordance rate between the authentication information stored in the authentication information storage means and the authentication input information input at the authentication information input means exceeds a prescribed value; authentication control means for changing the prescribed value; and terminal lock control means for limiting a prescribed function or operation or cancelling it. When the prescribed function or operation is limited, if the concordance rate check means confirms that the concordance rate between the authentication information stored in the authentication information storage means and the authentication input information input at the authentication information input means exceeds the prescribed value, the terminal lock check means cancels the limitation of the prescribed function or operation. |
