PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of generating a multi-dimensional rotation constellation for digital transmission following high-degree modulation diversity, and a reception device adaptable to the method.SOLUTION: A rotation constellation mapper 1420 maps the outputs b1 to b4 of a counter 710 on an N-dimension rotation constellation having plural constellation points defined by the positions in an N-dimensional space, and outputs the thus-obtained constellation components s1 to s4 to a square Euclidean distance calculator 730. The square Euclidean distance calculator 730 calculates a square Euclidean distance. Minimizers 740-1 to 740-4 hold the minimum square Euclidean distance to two portions for each bit. Adders 750-1 to 750-4 subtract the outputs of min1 from the outputs of min0 of the minimizers 740-1 to 740-4, and output the subtraction results as L(b1) to L(b4). |
