PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger configured so that a tubular member is helically wound around the outer periphery of a box body, one fluid flowing in the box body and the other fluid flowing in the tubular member, capable of ensuring helical bending workability while reducing the thickness of the tubular member. ! SOLUTION: A box body 150, an inner fin 170, and narrow tubes 161, 162, and 162 are formed of copper or copper alloy, the narrow tubes 161, 162, and 163 are helically wound around an outer periphery of the box body 150 and bonded thereto by brazing, and an outside diameter of each narrow tube 161, 162, 163 satisfies the following two mathematically expressions. t/D>0.1913R/D-1.132, where R denotes a bend radius when the narrow tube 161, 162, 163 is helically bent and σB denotes a tensile strength of a constituent material of the narrow tube 161, 162, 163. !
