<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a side door structure of an automobile, in which bending stiffness of an outer reinforcement in a desired region along a vehicle longitudinal direction is improved. <P>SOLUTION: In the side door structure 10, an upper flange part 28B and a lower flange part 28E are provided in the outer reinforcement 28 by bending top and bottom edges of the outer reinforcement 28 inward in a vehicle width direction in a region other than a part to be bent, which is set at a front side of the side door main section 16. Here, since necessity of formation of a hole etc. for wiring or assembling is small on the top and bottom edges of the outer reinforcement 28, the upper flange part 28B and the lower flange part 28E can be set to a desired part along the outer reinforcement 28 in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
