<p>The instrument has an avalanche compass card (1) whose base is arranged on a base plate (3). Geometric symbols, geometric characters, letters and numbers are arranged from west to east of a compass running direction. A slant measuring device (2) i.e. plumb line, comprises two sets of perforations. One of the sets of perforations is designed as a part of a fastening device for assembly at a ski stick (20), and the other set of perforations is designed as the fastening device for fastening a wind direction pointer i.e. wool thread. The geometric symbols are designed as symbols of ridge layers (4), steep rock slopes (5), shadow-side or sun-side troughs (6), shadow-side or sun-side gutters (7), shadow-side steep stages (8), shadow-side slope edges (9), shadow-side wide slopes (10), sun-side wide slopes (11), sun-side slope edges (12), sun-side steep stages (13), shadow-side rock-implemented area (14), sun-side rock-implemented area (15), shadow-side light forest (16), sun-side light forest (17), slope angle scale for sun-side and shadow-side exposures (18), forest borders (23) and borders between middle altitude and peak layer (22).</p> |
