<p>The method involves registering measurement signal values which are filtered with a damping constant D1. The values are averaged and fluctuations of the values determined with respect to time. A determination is made for a medium being measured, a typical fluctuation interval, in which a majority of the values lies. A condition B is tested, whether, a number A1, A2 of the values lying above and below an upper and lower limit value of the fluctuation interval. When condition B is fulfilled damping constant D1 is switched to D2 which effects a higher damping for filtering of the signal values.</p> |
