An initiation of a network device on a host system may be detected and an IP address may be assigned to the network device. Furthermore, a network gateway may be associated with the IP address. In some embodiments, a network may be assigned to the network device. The network may be configured to route outgoing data from the network through the network gateway as opposed to a default network gateway.

1. A method comprising:
identifying an initiation of a network device associated with a network; receiving an Internet Protocol (IP) address in response to the initiation of the network device; identifying a network gateway associated with the IP address; and configuring, by a processing device, the network to route outgoing data from the network through the network gateway associated with the IP address of the network device, wherein the network gateway is different from a default network gateway.
