METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CHANNEL ACCESS USING SEQUENCE NUMBERS IN VEHICLE COMMUNICATION

The present invention relates to a channel access control method using a sequence in a vehicle communications environment. The channel access control method is used to adjust the minimum contention window value to transmit a beacon message more reliably. The method includes the steps of: recording sequence data in the header of the current beacon message and transmitting the beacon message when vehicle terminals respectively transmits beacon messages; enabling the vehicle terminal receiving the beacon message to check the sequence data recorded in the header and wireless access in vehicular environment (WAVE) ID of the vehicle and storing the information in a table in a memory; and increasing the beacon message reception rate by using the table information stored in the memory to adjust the minimum contention window value when there is a beacon message to be transmitted from the current vehicle. Accordingly, the present invention can increase the transmission rate of the beacon message to provide a more secure driving environment for drivers.
